In a more classic setting you could add many periods of furniture with lush fabrics of velvet, brocades, silks, sateen's, tapestries and damask. It is always important to work from the floor up. Let the palette of the rug be central in your choice of fabric colors. In a more contemporary setting try textured woven solids or jacquards. Leathers and suede's would also be good choices.
